From the Superintendent's Desk.... We live in a small, rural community and our students benefit from the unique opportunities our rural life provides them. Small and rural has its advantages and its challenges. We must drive farther than city folks do for 24/7 shopping, dining, movies, to watch our children participate in sporting events and such things. However, we who live and work in rural communities avoid the congestion, traffic, noise, major crime, and the other types of less desirable attributes that are more common in urban areas. One benefit children in LaCrosse have is an excellent school system. In a small school kids do not get overlooked, falling through the cracks either academically or socially. Each Tigercat staff member takes a personal interest in the success of every student by observing, supporting, encouraging and celebrating learning. LaCrosse is fortunate to have a teaching staff that is highly qualified. The teachers who have chosen to live in our community and teach in our school are amazing people and work tirelessly on behalf of the children who live in our school district. Our staff does whatever it takes to help students succeed in all ways: academically, socially, morally and physically. Our classified employees (office, food service, transportation, paraeducator and maintenance staff) are equally involved in and responsible for the education of our students. Each of these people fulfills important roles in our program taking a personal interest in the success of our children. Results show that students who graduate from LaCrosse are academically and socially prepared for a successful life. Welcome to LaCrosse School District. If you are new to the area or are considering relocating to our community, please visit our website, or better yet, arrange a visit to our school. We are proud of our heritage, our students, staff and our educational program. . . . Gary Wargo, Superintendent |
